On October 3, 2024, the Financial Intelligence Agency (AIF) participated in a training activity organized by the National Albanian Real Estate Association (NAREA), presenting efforts aimed at increasing cooperation with this association, FIA’s assistance regarding the drafting by NAREA of the Operational Strategy, the supervisory expectation regarding the implementation of the legislation “On the prevention of money laundering and financing of terrorism”, the national risk assessment of money laundering and financing of terrorism and the role it has in the activity of the reporting entities, the contribution that NAREA has made in terms of strengthening the public-private partnership, as well as the continuous cooperation that AIF has with all the reporting entities,  particularly with real estate agents.

AIF will continue its proactive approach in engaging with NAREA, in order to increase the preventive capacities of real estate agents and further strengthen the integrity of the economic system in the Republic of Albania.
