13.02.2025: General Director of the Financial Intelligence Agency (FIA) had the pleasure of meeting with the Swiss Ambassador, Ms. Ruth Huber.

During the meeting, Mr. Koçi expressed heartfelt gratitude for the ongoing support from the Swiss Government in enhancing the professional capacities of the AIF staff. He also emphasized the significant role played by the Inter-Institutional Working Group, particularly in drafting the “National Strategy for the Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing,” as well as in the preparatory work coordinated among institutions for the upcoming evaluation by MONEYVAL.

Ambassador Huber acknowledged the efforts of the FIA and noted that the assistance from the Swiss Government has led to tangible improvements in the agency’s professional capabilities.

The meeting continued with discussions on further collaboration opportunities aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of the preventive system in Albania.
