On April 23, 2026, a national dialogue conference was held, initiated by the Institute for Democracy and Mediation (IDM), with the support of the MATRA project – “Strengthening public oversight and inter-institutional coordination,” supported by the Embassy of the Netherlands in Tirana. The conference was organized in cooperation with the Embassy of the Netherlands, the Supreme State Audit Institution, and the Financial Intelligence Agency (FIA). The activity aimed to strengthen institutional coordination across various areas in order to improve the performance of oversight and preventive mechanisms, in full alignment with the recommendations of MONEYVAL.

In their opening remarks, the Ambassador of the Netherlands, the Chair of the Supreme State Audit Institution, the Executive Director of IDM, and the Director General of the Financial Intelligence Agency emphasized the importance of consolidating inter-institutional cooperation, strengthening risk-based oversight, and ensuring transparency.

Other participants in the activity included key public institutions in the field of oversight, as well as representatives from the private sector.
