The Financial Intelligence Agency (AIF) organized in Tirana the bilateral meeting with the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) of Kosovo.

In this meeting, the General Director of AIF and the Director of FIU Kosovo emphasized the very good cooperation between our two agencies over the years and the results achieved thanks to this cooperation.

The two agencies discussed increasing the effectiveness of international cooperation and the exchange of experiences in the approach to the implementation of international standards. In this context, the AIF was committed to providing its experience in the drafting of the National Risk Assessment (NRA) and its Action Plan, as well as to share the experience so far within the framework of the public-private partnership recently realized as part of the Technical Group Interinstitutional Labor.

At the end of this meeting, both agencies also agreed to start work on conducting joint strategic analyzes as well as conducting training for employees in these two institutions within the framework of increasing preventive measures in the joint fight against money laundering and financing terrorism.
