On 05.02.2025, the Financial Intelligence Agency (AIF) organizes a meeting with the Institute of Authorized Accounting Experts (IEKA) on the “Education strategy and awareness of the public opinion on the risk of ML/FT”, in the premises of IEKA.

During the meeting, the discussion was focused on strengthening cooperation between institutions and improving the work of IEKA members and beyond, with a focus on educating clients on the issues of money laundering and terrorist financing (ML/FT), as well as the danger that this phenomenon carries in our society, as well as the creation of curricula/brochures with information on ML/FT issues.

Also, a special place during the meeting was dedicated to the increased care that this sector should have in analyzing and reporting suspicious cases, as one of the efficient preliminary mechanisms of the preventive system.

In conclusion, the participants thanked and expressed their willingness to increase cooperation so that the country has the best possible results in the fight against money laundering and terrorist financing.
