The Draft Law on the “Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing,” dated 10.04.2026, has been published on the Public Consultation website .
This draft law aims to establish a clear national regulatory framework for the prevention and combating of money laundering and terrorist financing. It sets out measures for high-risk sectors, as well as requirements for the registration, identification, and verification of senior management of obliged entities.
It also focuses on the identification and assessment of national-level risks, based on European Union standards and best international practices. The draft law defines rules related to access to beneficial ownership registers, bank accounts, and real estate information, thereby strengthening transparency and oversight.
A key role is assigned to the Financial Intelligence Agency and supervisory authorities, clearly defining their responsibilities and functions. It further emphasizes inter-institutional and international cooperation, including cooperation with EU and foreign counterpart authorities.
In this context, all institutions, reporting entities, stakeholders, and the general public are invited to review the draft law. We welcome all comments, suggestions, and contributions.
