On July 29, 2025, a meeting was held at our institution’s premises with representatives of the Financial Intelligence Agency (FIA), the EU4LEA project, and the Delegation of the European Union to Albania: Mr. Ferdinando Rucco, Permanent Expert on Financial Investigation, Mr. Albert De Ventura, Non-permanent Expert for Needs Assessment, and Mr. Mariol Novaku, Project Assistant.

During the meeting, a presentation was given on our institution, its scope of work, and activity priorities, as well as on the needs of the FIA, with particular focus on strengthening institutional capacities for financial investigations. The importance of ensuring that support for institutional capacity-building extends not only to the FIA staff but also to other cooperating institutions involved in anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing efforts was emphasized.

The representatives of the EU4LEA project expressed their willingness to provide support in line with the identified needs and institutional priorities.

The Director General, Mr. Koçi, thanked the experts for their professional commitment and the Delegation of the European Union for its continued support in the fight against financial crime.
