The Financial Intelligence Agency (FIA) participated in the Plenary Session of the National Convention on European Integration, organized by the European Movement in Albania (EMA) within the framework of the European Union-funded project “Building Partnership on Fundamental Issues: Empowering Civil Society Organisations for the EU Accession Process.”
During the thematic panel dedicated to Chapter 24 – Justice, Freedom and Security, the FIA contributed to the discussion on financial intelligence, sharing its institutional experience and highlighting its role in strengthening Albania’s national system for the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing.
The panel brought together representatives of state institutions, academia, civil society organisations, and international partners to discuss the challenges and priorities related to combating organised crime, money laundering, migration management, and strengthening institutional capacities in the context of Albania’s European integration process.
